Here are a few of the teas I’m currently obsessed with!
- Tega’s Green Rooibos (http://amzn.to/1Nc2IHy) : Where have you been these past eight or so years filled with red rooibos?? Seriously. I’ll take a cup of green rooibos over red almost any day! It tastes somewhat similarly to green tea, but with the added bonus of being caffeine free. But despite being an herbal tea, it definitely gives me a little boost in the morning so if you’re as sensitive as I am to stimulating beverages before bed, I’d drink this earlier in the day!
- Republic of Tea’s Cardamon Cinnamon Tea (http://amzn.to/1n6WuE7): A warming, wintery tea with cinnamon, cardamom, anise, pink peppercorns, chicory and more.
- Fettle Botanic’s (formerly the Herb Shoppe) herbal espresso. It seems they have plenty of herbs and teas available on their website, yet no herbal espresso! But it’s available at their Portland retail locations. You can try emailing them, but they’re in a branding transition, so hopefully they’ll have it available on their new site. Their herbal espresso is a tasty gluten-free substitute for all of you who are sensitive to caffeine! I’ve dried Dandy Blend and Teecino, and so far, this blend trumps both of them.
- Fresh chocolate mint. Hands down the best variety of mint I’ve tasted! Be sure to check out your local nursery for a pot–since it’s a hybrid variety, it can only be grown from a cutting, not by seed.
Any new teas you’re currently into?
Also, this lovely, glass tea kettle from Kauffman Mercantile is on my wish list once my stainless steel one gets banged up enough! I like the idea that it’s glass, so no worrying about any leached heavy metals, Teflon, non-stick coating, etc.
